SCULPTURE, ILLUSTRATION and PHOTOGRAPHY
Daniel graduated with a Bachelor of Art in Studio Art with a focus on Sculpture and Urban Design from Colorado College in 2013. This background in fine art, particularly in the public realm, grounded his future work in planning and design.
Daniel's artistic work is principally focused on the investigation of the dialectic between "useful" space and "leisure" space, practical and unpractical use of materials, and the passive and active perception of one's environment. These themes are key to understanding a principal contradiction of capitalism: Capital's coercion of labor to dedicate energy to expanding productive capacity, and labor's desire to dedicate to energy to self-fulfilling activity.
